Technical online-store check: what StoreVigil tests
StoreVigil combines availability and browser checks with concrete findings about images, resources, performance, accessibility foundations and technical SEO.

Availability and outages
StoreVigil checks whether the store is publicly available and how quickly the first response arrives.
A single failed attempt is not enough to claim a confirmed outage. StoreVigil can wait for another check and records verified incidents with their start, end and observed duration.
When a protection system restricts direct technical access, that restriction is not automatically treated as an unavailable store. A browser check can provide additional confirmation of the actual state.
StoreVigil cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability from every region in the world. Measurements represent the state observed from the monitoring infrastructure in use.

Browser and technical errors
A successful HTTP status does not prove that a page actually works after loading.
StoreVigil renders selected pages in an isolated browser and observes the resulting page state. This can reveal JavaScript errors, failed resources, redirects and other technical issues.
Results are assigned to the affected page where possible and explained in understandable language.
StoreVigil does not modify the store, submit normal forms or replace manual testing of every individual purchase flow.

Images, links and resources
Product images, banners, icons and other resources can fail even when the store configuration appears correct.
StoreVigil can examine which resource a visible element actually uses, whether an image can be decoded, whether meaningful dimensions are available and whether strong failure evidence is present.
For suitable findings, Visual Evidence shows the exact element in the page context.
Links and connected resources can also be assigned to the page that triggered them. StoreVigil separates strong confirmed failures from conflicting observations that should be checked again first.

Performance
A page can be available and still feel slow.
StoreVigil measures when the server responds, when the first visible content appears, when the main content is rendered and whether the layout shifts while loading.
Those values are translated into understandable states such as fast, worth checking or slow. When a page is worth checking, the customer should be able to see which metric caused that assessment.
This is a StoreVigil browser lab measurement. It does not replace field data from all visitors, a complete Lighthouse audit or a real-user-monitoring data set.

Accessibility
A store can look completely normal to you and still be difficult for other people to use.
People who use screen readers do not experience a page in the same way as a sighted visitor. The software reads controls, links, headings, labels and alternative text. When a button has no understandable name, a screen reader may be unable to explain what that button does.
StoreVigil therefore checks selected technical accessibility foundations. These can include accessible names for buttons and links, labels for form controls, alternative text for important images, unique IDs and heading structures.
For suitable findings, StoreVigil can mark the exact element in a screenshot. The store owner can see not only that a problem exists, but which element is affected.
Additional developer hints can refer to aria-label, aria-labelledby, label or alt. These attributes are not presented as universal fixes. Clear visible text is often the best solution.
StoreVigil does not replace a complete WCAG audit, legal accessibility assessment or manual testing with assistive technologies. It can nevertheless make many common technical foundations visible early.

SEO foundations
Search engines need clear signals to classify pages and present them in search results.
StoreVigil checks selected technical SEO foundations such as page titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, headings, indexing signals, alternative text and certain internal links.
A missing or unusually long page title is not treated in the same way as an unavailable page. StoreVigil separates technical problems, recommendations and observations so the store owner can understand their importance.
A noindex instruction is not automatically wrong either. It may be intentional and is not presented as a technical defect without additional evidence of the intended behaviour.
StoreVigil does not guarantee better rankings and does not replace a complete SEO strategy, keyword research or content consulting. It makes practical technical foundations visible and explains what should be reviewed.

Not every finding has the same importance
StoreVigil does not hide different findings behind an arbitrary overall score. Problems, recommendations and observations remain separate. This helps you understand what may require immediate attention and what is better treated as an improvement or additional information.
